UKQ UK Approved Rigger Grade (I) Course
This course covers OSHA regulations, the use and inspection of slings, rigging hardware, load weight and other areas critical to understanding and operating a safe job site. This course is recommended for all employees who are working within the fall zone of a load and especially if they are involved in the hooking and unhooking of the load or in the guiding of a load.
Why this course?
The UKQ Rigger Grade (I)program includes technical training to meet OSHA standards. The course illustrates the proper use and pre-use inspection of rigging gear, slings and below-the-hook lifting devices to ensure those who complete training are competent. All employees engaged in assembly/disassembly of cranes, hooking, unhooking, or guiding the load, or in the initial connection of a load to a component or structure and are within the fall zone should be a qualified rigger.
Who is this course for?
This course is entry level for basic Qualified Rigger trainees. To participate in UKQ Rigger Grade (I) you must have basic rigging knowledge, skills, and job relevant experience. This program is taught in a classroom setting, and includes making sure all participants fully understand sling hitches, proper gear assemblies, and working load limits
