The UKQ UK Approved International Diploma in Home Economics provides an opportunity for registered teachers of other subjects who have an interest in and passion for Home Economics, to acquire the knowledge, attitudes, and practical skills required to teach Home Economics at post primary level.

Food Studies Food Microbiology, Processing and Preservation Introduction to Textiles and Design               Food Studies: Food Science and Nutrition Family Resource Management: Family Resource Management: Resource Management and Consumer Empowerment     Philosophical Perspectives of Home Economics Family Resource Management Interior and Textiles Design  

Learning Outcomes:

Creating awareness among individuals regarding financial management, Consumption Economics and individual’s role as a consumer in the development of a country. Students learn about the distinguishing characteristics and varied functions of banking Systems, Taxation and governing principles of Micro and Macro economics Understand and utilize basic principles and point of view of sociology which will allow students to gain insight into the behaviour of people functioning in social groups Understand and better function within social institutions. Use foundational concepts to interpret their own lived experience Describe trends in ethnic, racial, religious, class, or gender changes.
